2021 Scholarship Season is Here!
Calling all high school seniors – it’s that time. Every year, Premier Members Credit Union recognizes high school seniors with proven excellence in academics, community involvement and extracurricular activities. We award $40,000 annually to local education foundations and school districts within our community. And now’s your chance to get your part of the pie. Apply by May 14, 2021 for the chance to win one of two $5,000 scholarships!
Application Deadline: May 14, 2021, 11:59 p.m.
- Be a member of Premier Members in good standing. If you’re not a member, you can join!
- Be a spring high school graduate of the current year with a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school grade point average (GPA).
- Have already been accepted to a college or technical school within the United States and begin school as a full-time freshman in the fall of the graduating year with a minimum of 12 credit hours per quarter or semester.
Please include the following when submitting your completed application*:
✓ Complete the official application form
✓ A list of all extracurricular activities (school, religious, community, and sports). Include honors and awards, organizations and clubs you participated in including dates, offices held, responsibilities, etc.
✓ Your official, high school transcript (obtained from your counselor) including SAT or ACT scores.
✓ A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2021-2022 school year.
✓ Two detailed letters of reference (on letterhead) from non-family members who know you well. These can include teachers, counselors, school administrators, employers, coaches, scout or religious leaders, etc.
✓ A 250-350 word essay describing yourself, why you are uniquely qualified for this scholarship, what going to college means to you, and your goals and interests. Please also state how the scholarship funds will help you further your educational goals. Grammar, content, clarity, and overall presentation will be considered.
✓ Completed applications must be emailed in PDF format to [email protected] by 11:59 PM on May 14, 2021.
*Please note, we do not accept mailed-in applications or applications that have been dropped off at branch locations. We do not accept applications via Google Docs or Dropbox. Please email your completed application to [email protected].

Mountain West Credit Union Foundation: Brayman-Beach Scholarship
Member Parker Adams received the Brayman-Beach Scholarship, awarded by The Mountain West Credit Union (MWCUA) Foundation.
Adams, a graduate of Monarch High School, is a member and team leader of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), a Monarch High School Soccer Team Captain, and was the team’s MVP for the 2018-2019 season.
Adams lettered in High School Academics with a GPA of 4.0 as a Freshman and Sophomore. He is also a dependable community volunteer assisting with the election of the supervisory trustee board member. In addition, Adams has worked at the Boulder County Parks and Open Spaces and is a local restaurant host.
